Hi! I have heard from intelligent friends that the Vancouver Island marmot is the most endangered mammal (or maybe just specific species) in North America. Only 100 or so, eh? Sad. Thanks for posting this great photo.

This is true. You can even go as far as saying it is one of the worlds rarest mammals. Population growth has been increasing which is nice to see.
